Input file reading is quite slow, especially on the Windows version. This is partly caused by an overly simplistic data import algorithm, combined with poor performance from a few key routines in the windows version of the Qt libraries.

The memory allocation strategy is relatively crude. If you process several data files in sequence you may find that your computer starts to respond more slowly. If this happens quit from QSE and restart it with a new data file.
